Growing Pains - DTP f/ Ludacris

Ludacris at the NBA AllStar game, Feb. 18, 2007

I know I'm late on this but Ludacris' father, Wayne Brian Bridges, age 52, passed away this past Sunday down in Atlanta.

"We are overwhelmed by the generous outpouring of love, condolences and support from family members, friends, fans and the many well-wishers," read a statement released Monday (February 27) by Ludacris' family. "We thank you for your prayers and hope you will understand our need for privacy during this sorrowful time."

This came on the heels of his first ever Grammy win for "Release Therapy" and of course his special shout out to Bill O'Reilly that in my eye, beats even ODB's infamous award show quip "WuTang is for the children!" It just goes to show you that you must have rain to enjoy the sunshine. I send out heart felt condolences to him and his family and and since he's a fellow ATLien, I just might keep it hood pour out a lil' liquor on Peachtree next time I'm there.
